Hurst Goes the Distance for Charity at Hull 10k

Members of the Hurst team recently participated in the Hull 10k to support Dove House Hospice, an East Yorkshire charity dedicated to providing vital care to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses.

“The atmosphere was electric, and the support from the Dove House team was unwavering,”

Six members of the Hurst team participated in the Hull 10k, and through their collective efforts, managed to raise an impressive £425. To date, Hurst has managed to raise over £1000 as part of their ongoing efforts to raise £2,500 for Dove House Hospice by the end of 2024.

“Our involvement with Dove House Hospice is about more than just fundraising,” said Hayley Barker, Group Head of Marketing at Hurst.

“It’s about fostering a sense of purpose, uniting the team and ultimately supporting our local community and the essential services Dove House provides.”

In addition to participating in the Hull 10k, Hurst is also sponsoring the 12-mile Pub-to-Pub walk on August 10th. This event will take participants through nearly 12 miles of East Yorkshire’s countryside, shoreline, villages, and towns, stopping for a pint in six pubs along the way. The walk aims to raise funds for Dove House as well as other local causes.

In the coming months, Hurst team members are also gearing up for the Fire and Ice Challenge in October, where participants will walk over fire and cut glass. All funds raised will support Dove House Hospice, which needs over £10 million annually to maintain its vital services and facilities.
